Context

Users currently must navigate between separate company pages to compare portfolios. A side-by-side comparison view would streamline competitive analysis.

What to do

  1. Add a "Compare" mode to the Analytics/Dashboard pages
  2. Allow users to select two companies from a dropdown
  3. Display key metrics (patent count, top technology categories, innovation score) side by side
  4. Add a backend endpoint if needed to return comparison data for two companies in a single call

Acceptance criteria

  • User can select two companies and view their metrics side by side
  • Comparison data is accurate and matches individual company views
  • UI is responsive and usable on standard screen sizes

This issue has been resolved. A Compare page exists at /compare with side-by-side company portfolio comparison, including dropdowns for company selection and metric display.
